With its unique design, it captures the essence of classic British overdrive sounds, offering a smooth yet fierce distortion that can easily cut through the mix. The Angry Charlie features intuitive controls for gain, tone, and level, allowing guitarists to fine-tune their sound to perfection. I have the following EQ settings captured: (1 is minimum, 5 is middle, 9 is dimed). B - Bass, M - Mids, T - Treble BB - Bass Boost: Bass 6, Mid 5, Treble 5 (9 captures) BC - Bass Cut: Bass 4, Mid 6, Treble 6 (9 captures) MB - Mid Boost: B5, M6, T5 (9 captures) MC - Mid Cut: Bass 5, Mid 4, Treble 5 (9 captures) FL - Flat EQ: B5, M5, T5 (9 captures) TB - Treble Boost: B5, M5, T6 (9 captures) I also threw in 8 bonus captures with a Tube Screamer 808 in front of the Angry Charlie (which tightened up the low end). I did what I feel is the sweet spot for the pedal - Drive 4-7 for 2 different EQ settings (Flat EQ and a Bass Cut mid boost). I tried to keep the EQ mostly centered with slight boosts here and there (knowing that everyones amps are a bit different and they can be further EQ'd - figured a slight boost, cut here and there would help get everyone in the right direction).
