GRID is a half-speed modulation plugin that blends dry and wet signals to generate versatile time-based effects. Use it on loops, samples, or live audio to introduce unpredictable time variations and rhythmic movement.

Features Dynamic Halftime Control
Choose between 1/4, 1/2, and 1/1 beat divisions for precise timing.

Flexible Effect Triggering
Select between 4, 8, or 16 position steps that sync to your DAW’s tempo to define when the effect is applied.

Table-Based Mix Control
Instead of a traditional mix knob, the balance between dry and wet signals is controlled via table points:

Top = 100% wet

Bottom = 100% dry

Snap-to-Grid & Free Placement
Drag points can be locked to a grid for precise timing or placed freely between beats for more experimental rhythms.

Intelligent Randomization
Randomizes positions based on the number and selection of drag points, keeping patterns musical but unpredictable.

Reset Button
Clears all table points and resets the effect to 50%.

Dedicated Filters
Independent low-pass and high-pass filters apply only to the halftime effect, leaving the dry signal untouched.

20 Basic Presets
Get started quickly with a variety of ready-made presets.

Version 1.1.1

grid has now 10 different randomisation modes. use the mode button to cycle through all modes - each mode change previews the result instantly. hit the randomize button to generate a new variation within the current mode.

modes
custom (default) set your own table points manually, then hit randomize. grid will randomize the y-values, x-positions, and curves of your points while keeping the exact same number of points you placed. the style varies randomly between smooth curves, straight lines, or a mix of both. this is the default mode - perfect for creating your own rhythmic grid and exploring variations of it.

magic the wildcard mode. generates between 2 and 32 random points with a randomly chosen style - smooth curves, straight lines, tower steps, spike patterns, or any combination. every click produces something completely different. great for discovering unexpected shapes and happy accidents.

random y keeps all your existing point positions (x) and curve shapes exactly as they are - only the height (y) of each point gets randomized. use this when you've built a rhythm you like and want to explore different intensity patterns on top of it.

mirror generates a random first half and mirrors it symmetrically to the second half. creates balanced, palindrome-like patterns that feel natural and musical. great for lfo shapes and rhythmic patterns that resolve back to their starting point.

tower classic step sequencer. generates perfectly vertical steps with a random step count of 4, 8, 16, or 32. all values snap to the 1/8th grid (12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, 50%, 62.5%, 75%, 87.5%, 100%) for musically useful results. ideal for gating, tremolo, and rhythmic modulation.

square binary gate pattern - every step is either fully on (100%) or fully off (0%), nothing in between. random step count of 4, 8, 16, or 32. think of it as a classic square wave with a random pulse pattern. perfect for hard-gated rhythms and on/off modulation.

waves organic, flowing shapes made entirely of curved lines. generates 1 to 4 wave cycles with random amplitude and phase. all curves are set to extreme values - never straight - so the result always looks and feels smooth and wave-like. ideal for slow lfo shapes and organic modulation.

punch a hybrid of binary gates and diagonal fades. values always alternate between exactly 0% and 100%, but each transition is randomly either an instant vertical drop (like square) or a smooth diagonal fade. the mix of hard cuts and soft fades creates dynamic, aggressive patterns.

saw sawtooth wave pattern. each tooth ramps diagonally up to a random peak height, then drops vertically back to zero. peak heights snap to the 1/8th grid for musical consistency. random step count of 4, 8, 16, or 32. classic for filter sweeps, pitch modulation, and rhythmic builds.

triangle triangle wave pattern. each cycle rises diagonally to a peak at the center of the step, then falls diagonally back to zero - creating a mountain-range shape. peak heights snap to the 1/8th grid. random step count of 4, 8, 16, or 32. smoother than saw, perfect for natural-sounding modulation.
