🎧 SeriousAboutSound.net — Community Guidelines
Welcome to SeriousAboutSound.net, a community built on sharing, respect, and creativity.
Please read and follow the guidelines below to help keep our platform organized, active, and enjoyable for everyone.
Contribute, Don’t Just Consume
This is a give-and-take community. Avoid being a leech — upload and share content regularly to keep the site fresh with new material.
Installation Support
All VST, VSTi, and software uploads should include installation instructions.
If you encounter any issues, post a message in the topic thread for assistance.
Proper Tagging
Tag all uploads correctly to help others search easily.
Include:
Prefix tags (developer name, artist, label, catalog number)
Genre tags (music style)
Example: [Refx] [House] [LabelName123]
Proper tagging keeps the site organized and searchable.
Scene and Non-Scene Releases
Always include the NFO file inside the code block provided by the editor.
Both Scene and Non-Scene releases belong in the Releases section.
Important: Do not include anything else in the code block — no labels, albums, EP names, or tracklists. Only the NFO file should go inside.
Lossless Music Forum
A dedicated Lossless Music sub-forum is available for high-quality releases.
Both Scene and Non-Scene lossless releases — including albums, EPs, and single tracks — can be posted there.
However:
If your upload is a Label, Discography, or USB Collection, please post it in the correct Label / Discography / USB section instead.
Always tag your uploads properly and follow the same formatting and file-naming rules.
Reporting Dead Links
To report a dead link:
Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the post.
Select Report.
You can also request a reupload in the Request Forums.
Please do a search before requesting and or creating a topic as whatever you are about to post may have already been added.
File Naming Convention
Add [seriousaboutsound.net] at the end of every uploaded filename.
This helps promote the community and maintain consistency.
Approved File Hosts
Use reliable file hosts that keep files available for long periods.
Recommended: Mega, Mediafire, Google Drive, and OneDrive.
No External Sharing
Do not share our exclusive uploads or links on other forums, blogs, or websites.
Hide Your Links
